Crimefest

Between May 19th and 22nd, I'll be at the thriller convention Crimefest in Bristol. The programme has just gone online, and it is packed with mouth-watering events. Don Winslow, Peter James, Colin Bateman, Deon Meyer, Lindsey Davis and dozens of others will be appearing. On Saturday, MI5's former Director-General and current spy novelist Dame Stella Rimington will be interviewing Keith Jeffery, author of MI6: The History of the Secret Intelligence Service 1909-1949, and Richard Aldrich, author of GCHQ.

I'll be on two panels. On Saturday morning, I'll be part of Suspicion: Spies Coming in From the Cold?, moderated by Michael Ridpath. My fellow panellists will be Rory Clements, author of the John Shakespeare series of Elizabethan spy thrillers; Simon Conway, author of A Loyal Spy; and Adrian Magson, author of the Harry Tate spy series. Then on Sunday, I'll be on the panel The Last Outpost: Endings, along with Simon Brett, M R Hall, and Andrew Lane (the Young Sherlock Holmes series and The Bond Files), moderated by Peter Guttridge. I'm looking forward to meeting them all and having a good old chat about thrillers. If you can make it, come along. See you in the bar!
